In honor of International Women's day, we sat down with Jaleena Jessop, Ultradent's Director of Clinical Affairs. She is also a practicing dentist and happens to be the daughter of Dr. Fischer, the founder and CEO of Ultradent.
Well, I initially sought out work here at Ultradent because I’m passionate about teeth. It’s the first thing I notice in others and I’m very meticulous about taking care of mine, but then, when I came to work here, the first thing I noticed was the diversity!
I’ve loved working on the Enamelast varnish flavors. It’s been a challenge, but I love a challenge!
I’m a machinist. We build and repair the parts for all of the robotics that Ultradent has—and Ultradent has the most robotics of any company west of the Mississippi River, excluding the auto industry.
It’s really, really neat when we’re working down there to think, “Hey, this could end up in someone’s mouth,” for example. I love being able to see my work and say, “I made that!” It’s a great feeling. I love making products that we know will help improve lives, too.
The photo was taken at Dollar Lake, which is in the high Uinta mountain range here in Utah. It’s on the trail to Kings Peak. I was up there with a youth group as their leader. One morning, another one of the leaders and I woke up super early to get some pretty shots of the lake.
