Recently, Ultradent added two new vice presidents to its executive team—Dr. Jaleena Jessop as VP of Clinical Affairs, and Karen Phillips as VP of sales and marketing. Both women bring a rich background and breadth of experience to their new roles and are proven, outstanding leaders in their field of expertise.
In honor of International Women's day, we sat down with Jaleena Jessop, Ultradent's Director of Clinical Affairs. She is also a practicing dentist and happens to be the daughter of Dr. Fischer, the founder and CEO of Ultradent.
Well, I initially sought out work here at Ultradent because I’m passionate about teeth. It’s the first thing I notice in others and I’m very meticulous about taking care of mine, but then, when I came to work here, the first thing I noticed was the diversity!
I’ve loved working on the Enamelast varnish flavors. It’s been a challenge, but I love a challenge!
I’m a machinist. We build and repair the parts for all of the robotics that Ultradent has—and Ultradent has the most robotics of any company west of the Mississippi River, excluding the auto industry.
It’s really, really neat when we’re working down there to think, “Hey, this could end up in someone’s mouth,” for example. I love being able to see my work and say, “I made that!” It’s a great feeling. I love making products that we know will help improve lives, too.
